Esports Coordinator

Billy Howard is a seasoned veteran in the college scene, working as a coach at the University of Northern Iowa (2014-2017), University of North Georgia (2017-2018), Arizona State University (2018-2019), Hawkeye Community College (2019-2021), Missouri Western State University (2021-2022), and Florida Southern College (2022-2023). Along the way, he has collected 63 playoff appearances, 14 tournament victories, including 2 national championships in Overwatch and Rainbow 6 Siege. He now serves as the Head Coach of Esports at Lander University in South Carolina.

In addition to his work as a coach, Howard has also served on the HSEL Board of Directors, the Kansas City Esports Coalition Advisory Council, the 2022 RSAA College League of Legends Championship Selection Committee, and was the chair of the NJCAAE Competition Committee from 2020-2021 prior to running the college division of Generation Esports from 2021-2023.

Billy's focus and passion is student and community driven. With a heavy emphasis on creating resources to provide a solid infrastructure in higher ed, he hopes to continue creating opportunities for students nationwide to get an education through their talents and passion behind the screen.
