NJCAA Esports Announces Promotion of Matt King to Senior Director of Operations
Charlotte, N.C. – NJCAA Esports is proud to announce the promotion of Matt King to Senior Director of Operations, advancing from his previous role as Director of Esports.
Since joining NJCAA Esports, King has played an instrumental role in the growth and development of the organization’s competitive infrastructure, championship operations, and member support initiatives. His leadership has helped strengthen institutional engagement, enhance operational efficiencies, and expand opportunities for two-year colleges and their esports student-athletes nationwide.
In his new role, King will oversee day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives across NJCAA Esports, including championship administration, policy and procedures, institutional relations, and long-term organizational planning.
“Matt has been a driving force behind the continued evolution of NJCAA Esports,” said Jeff White, Executive Director of NJCAA Esports. “His leadership, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to our member institutions and student-athletes have elevated every aspect of our operation. This promotion recognizes his exceptional contributions and reflects our confidence in his ability to guide NJCAA Esports into its next stage of growth.”
King has been central to expanding competitive offerings, improving operational workflows, and collaborating with campus esports leaders to ensure accessible, high-quality competitive experiences across the NJCAA Esports membership.
